FUN WITH EXCEL?

Am I the only person who’s obsessed with mastering spreadsheets? I’m planning an audio seminar next week that will show beginner-level Excel users step-by-step what’s behind a spreadsheet model for online conversion.

Folks are not exactly signing up in droves… are spreadsheets a turn-off topic? When you sign up for the audio seminar you also get a nifty e-book with easy Excel tips and sample spreadsheets you can customize. Waddya think? Why aren’t people excited about this? Use the comments link below and let me know.

    Debbie:

Perhaps anyone tracking conversion rates or responses would already know how to use Excel. You’ve got the idea right, simplify the campaign/response/conversion math, but perhaps should require users already be familiar with Excel.

Even better would be a course that provided the top formulas you should know about tracking conversion, how to structure landing->action->thankyou pages to simplify tracking, and using simple tools like Excel in a campaign.

As an added bonus it wouldn’t hurt to throw in a tip card with cost-per-order, cost-per-click, …, and other formula that would help a marketer. Even the Internet is lacking solid details about these areas and database marketing books get too technical (or abstract.)

    Just some ideas.

    Sincerely,

I like the IDEA of doing this - find excel sheets very helpful, and realise the importance of understanding how something is done even if you delegate the task. Yet would love someone else to do this working out for me, so can concentrate on my hottest skills.
