It’s official! I’ve just closed a deal with Penguin Portfolio to write a book about corporate blogging. Pub date is 2006. Penguin is the publisher of Seth Godin’s books, including Purple Cow and his new All Marketers Are Liars. As well as some other nifty business books. Of course, there will be a "book blog" to accompany the creation (and, er, promotion) of the book. I can’t promise that I’ll post every chapter as I write it, as Robert Scoble and Shel Israel are doing over at The Red Couch. But I’ll be asking for input and hope you’ll speak your mind. Stay tuned…

Debbie-Congratulations! Just wanted to Thank You for all the great information you give to us. Two months ago I didn’t know what a rss feed was-or a blog for that matter.
Great Job! Steve
congratulations on the book deal! I look forward to reading it.
Congrats. A terrific idea. We started a corporate blog about a month ago and are stumbling our way through. So look forward to the book…and, of course, if for some reason you do want some neophyte input, let us know!

That’s very exciting, Debbie!
I thought you might like to know that my company, Press For Change Publishing, just launched its first title, Digital Dish, which is a compilation of the best recipes and writing from food blogs around the world. If it is successful then we will be branching out into other specialized niches of blogging. It seems like the personal touch and connection is really making a difference for successful communication using blogs.
Sorry Debbie, I am posting this comment a bit late. Please accept my belated Congratulations for the book. I will look forward to it as I can use some of your ideas for my “Blog Outsourcing” concept for small and medium businesses. This concept lets small businesses afford a luxury of a full-blown Company blog, which only large companies can afford to have currently.
Hi Debbie…belated congrats as well on the book deal! I can’t wait to get it! I’ve started several blogs (and even been asked to blog professionally) thanks to hearing you speak about them at DMAW several years ago. You also inspired me to completely re-do our company’s website.
Thanks so much, Missy
